James Dean Bar is a well known and highly respected club, and James Dean Guest House has stepped up as the most desired guest house in the Paradise with the best possible location, central and convenient to everything, in the middle of the Royal Paradise Area, a few minutes walk to the beach.

James Dean Bar is one of the original actual "gay bars" in Patong Beach, opening in 1991. The Guest House opened in 1997.

The bar opened in a simple fashion, the type of bar where you could sit and talk with your friends in a purely social situation, without being hassled by anyone.

The plan worked well for James Dean Bar in 1992, in the middle of a growing menu of discos, bars gogo's.

The plan hasn't changed and it remains a place to socialize.

Joel and Phaithoon remain the owners and the managers, with an incredibly variety of friends from all corners of the planet.

The guest house is not a full service hotel, rather it is a small and intimate Thai planned and Thai operated guest house that is comfortable and refreshingly clean, thanks to Phaithoon's constant vigilance. You are in Thailand on the Andaman Sea in a unique accomodation.

A question often asked, "Were you affected by the Tsunami?"
The Tsunami did not reach as far as the Paradise Complex so we were not physically affected by the Tsunami. The worst efect was that so many people stayed away from here.

There is only one Patong Beach, and there is only one James Dean Bar and James Dean Guest House. .Joel and Phaithoon wrote the book about the clubs in Patong, and they remain the center of this Paradise.
